Tulsa Talons News Release

Two players from last season's Championship Talons team are making the move to the AFL. The Arena Football League announced that both FB/LB Jamar Ransom, and OL/DL Chad Ruffin, has joined the Arena Football League's Chicago Rush.

Jamar Ransom gained college ball experience from Oklahoma State University before joining the Talons in 2006. During his two seasons as a Talon, he played 21 of 32 regular season games, recorded 68 total tackles (56 solo) and scored 14 points.

Chad Ruffin hails from Southern Miss, where he was named one of the strongest players on the team before he joined the Talons in 2006. During his two seasons as a Talon, he played 26 of 32 regular season games, recorded 31.5 total tackles (25 solo), 11.5 QB sacks and 19 QB hurries.

"I'm very pleased that Jamar and Chad are going to get this opportunity to play at the Arena 1 level. They both have worked extremely hard to get to this point and deserve the opportunity to play for such a great franchise as the Chicago Rush. It was a true pleasure being able to coach both these players the past two seasons," said Talons Head Coach Mitch Allner.

The Chicago Rush will open their season at home March 3rd, 2008 as they host the San Jose SaberCats.
