Two Game Weekend for the Cal Express

TURLOCK,CA - The Turlock Cal Express (3-1) have a busy weekend ahead with two league games starting on Friday at home and ending in Southern California on Sunday.

This Friday they will host the San Diego Sockers (3-1) at 7:05pm in Turlock before heading to Ontario, Ca to visit the Fury (0-2) for a midday match at 3:05pm on Sunday.

The Cal Express and Sockers are both coming off a Win and are currently tied for 2nd place in the league right under the Monterrey Flash who are comfortably on top with a 5-0 record in the Western Division.

As the team prepares for tomorrow's match, The Cal Express will not have Veteran Mathew Germain in their lineup for the entire weekend due to injury while the Sockers made an announcement that Starter Kraig Chiles will be sitting this one out as well.

With Chiles not traveling to Turlock, the Sockers will look to their new addition this season, Slavisa Ubiparipovic to finish things up top along with the dominant duo of Brandon Escoto and Brian Farber.

Cal Express player Adrian Gutierrez will be the main outlet for the Turlock team. Gutierrez has been the fundamental piece to many plays that have contributed to their early success along with Manuel Rojo.

Sunday's match against the Fury will be their first encounter this season.

Since their last meet up, Ontario has added big names to their roster but the biggest being the signing of Frank Tayou.

Cal Express know the dangers of leaving Tayou unmarked and will work defensively to limit his involvement in plays. In the box is Chris Toth who returned for another season with Ontario.

Doors will open at 6pm for Friday's game while Sunday's road match can be viewed live on MASLtv.
