
Two Black Hawks Headed to USHL Prospects/All-Star Game

The United States Hockey League has named the roster for the 2004 USHL Prospects All-Star Game, which will take place Tuesday February 3, 2004 at the Ice Box Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska. The game will feature Team USHL versus Team World. Two Black Hawks will be headed to the mid-season classic. Waterloo forward Joe Pavelski (Plover, WI) and defenseman Dustin Molle (Anchorage, AK) will represent the Hawks.
"I'm happy that Joe and Dustin will represent the Black Hawks at the All-Star Game," said Black Hawks Head Coach, P.K. O'Handley. "Both players are deserving, and will represent the Black Hawks well."
Pavelski will be a center man for Team World. This will be his second All-Star appearance for Pavelski, who scored a pair of goals in Team USHL's 6-1 victory last season. He currently ranks second on the Black Hawks in points scored with 25 points on 11 goals and 14 assists. Last season he led the league in goals scored with 36.
Molle will be a teammate of Pavelski's on Team World. The second year defenseman leads the team in penalty minutes with 61 and is amongst the league leaders in fighting majors. The 6'1 210 pound defenseman has been the leader on the Black Hawks blue line this season.
The Tri-City Storm lead the league with seven All-Stars while Sioux City and River City were second with five and the host Lincoln Stars will send three to the game.
Waterloo is currently in fourth place in the USHL's Eastern Division with a 14-14-3 mark, good for 31 points.
Waterloo now prepares for a busy week ahead in which they will play three games in three days, starting with a road contest at St. Louis on Friday, followed by home contests versus Sioux City on Saturday at 7:05 PM, Chicago on Sunday at 6:05 PM. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the Young Arena box office on Wednesday and Thursday from 11:30 AM- 5:30 PM, Friday from 11:30 AM- 5:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 AM- game time.
