Medford Rogues News Release
MEDFORD, OR - The Medford Rogues batted around twice and had nine different pitchers appear in a 15-5 victory over the Medford Mustangs in their final exhibition game before the beginning of WCL regular season play.
The Mustangs led 5-2 before the Rogues scored seven runs and brought 12 hitters to the plate in the bottom of the fourth inning. Four runs scored via walk or hit batter. Another 12 hitters came to the plate in the seventh as the Rogues added six more runs to give themselves a cushion. In a game with many substitutions, Matt Page led the way at the plate with three base hits.
The Rogues held the Mustangs scoreless in six of the nine innings and the most impressive pitching performance came from Bo Cornish, normally a catcher. Cornish showed off an impressive fastball in striking out the side in the ninth inning.
The Rogues begin WCL play tomorrow against the Bellingham Bells at 6:35 PM at Harry and David Field.
