Corvallis Knights News Release

It's here!

Our seventh season in Corvallis kicked-off yesterday. 2,278 packed Goss Stadium on PEAK Internet Science & Art Day. And the Knights won, beating the Portland Lobos 7-6 in a non-league contest on a sunny, warm day.

We begin the West Coast League season tonight at Wenatchee at 7:05 pm. Colin Feldtman of University of Portland starts on the mound for the Knights. Listen live on KEJO 1240 AM.

After the three-game series with the defending WCL champion Sox, we head to Cowlitz for three games with the Black Bears June 8-10. Then, it's back to Corvallis for our 2013 WCL home debut, against Kitsap at 6:40 p.m. June 12. It's Big League Chew Opening Night, presented by AmeriTitle, so don't miss it!

That starts a six-game homestand that also features a Block 15 Thursday presented by KLOO-FM (June 13), our first FAIL! Night (June 14), the first of our two $1,000 Kids Dash for Cash nights, sponsored by All Family Vision Care (June 15) and Field of Dreams Night, presented by MOM Magazine (June 16).

Remember, reserved and general admission season tickets for the 2013 season are still on sale at the Knights' office in the Madison Plaza building, located on 4th Street and Madison Avenue in downtown Corvallis. They're available online too.

Also, our popular 10-game punch cards are selling fast. You can buy a single 10-game punch card for only $40.

We have 32 home games scheduled over 31 dates at Goss Stadium; 27 West Coast League battles and now four nonleague matches, with fireworks displays planned for July 3rd and August 8th.

The league format has changed slightly this year with the addition of the expansion Victoria HarbourCats and Medford Rogues. There will now be North and South Divisions, instead of East and West.

Corvallis, Klamath Falls, Bend, Kitsap, Cowlitz and Medford will comprise the South Division. Victoria, Wenatchee, Walla Walla, Bellingham and Kelowna will make up the North Division.
