Twins Drop Both in Double Header

Texarkana, TX - Due to poor weather conditions the Texarkana Twins played a double header at George Dobson Field. The Twins struggled at the plate between both games, making it difficult to put runs on the board.
In the first game of the series, the Twins went run for run with the Cane Cutters until the 4th inning. The club scored early in the 1st inning from Colton Kessler's single. In the 2nd inning Peyton Faulkner got on from a single and was brought around by JoJo Craig and Gunner Halter, he was eventually brought home by a Cane Cutter error. In the 4th inning Craig hit a two-run home run giving the Twins a two-run lead. The team fell silent for the remainder of the game at the plate. While the Twins were ahead for the 4th, the Cane Cutters answered back in the 5th inning scoring three runs, giving their team a one run lead. In the 7th the Cane Cutters added three more to the board giving the final score of 8-4.
The Cane Cutters jumped out on the Twins in the second game with a 4-0 lead after the 2nd inning. In the 3rd inning Jacob Nunez hit a single to bring Gunner Halter home, making the score 4-1. The Twins fell silent at the plate until the 7th inning when Gunner Halter and Peyton Faulkner scored on a Colton Kessler's single. The Twins played well defensively throughout both games, the Cane Cutters bats were just heavy at the right time throughout the night.
The Twins will take a short road trip to Dallas, Texas to face the Texas Marshals June 22-23. The club will then return home for a two-game series against the Generals. Following the home series, the Twins will have a short two-day break.
