Plano, TX - The Texarkana Twins completed their 6 game road trip with a sweep of the Texas Marshals, after winning a shootout 20-17.
The Twins bats have been behind the early success of the club, and this series sweep was no different. Over the two games, the Twins scored 28 runs, needing every run as they won the two games by a combined 5 runs.
Manager Jake Mitzner is excited to head back home with some momentum, "After that brief stretch to start the trip, its always nice to head home with some momentum behind us. These two wins to end the stretch say a lot about this team's character to never quit and work to be better. We are excited to get a few days off and then put on a show for the home fans in Texarkana."
The Twins are off the next two days before beginning a homestand starting Wednesday against the Texas Marshals and Acadiana Cane Cutters at George Dobson Field.
