Tulsa's Shane Madolora Named Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (February 19, 2013) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Tulsa Oilers goaltender Shane Madolora has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending February 17, 2013.

Madolora continued his recent outstanding play by earning points for his team in all three starts last week. The Salinas, California native went 2-0-1 while earning his first professional shutout on Friday night with 39 saves in a 2-0 win over Arizona. Earlier in the week, the rookie stopped 44 of 45 shots in a 2-1 shootout victory over first place Allen. In the shootout, the netminder turned away nine of the 10 shooters he faced.
For the week, Madolora stopped 124 of 129 shots (.961 save percentage) improving to 11-10-2 on the season but the former R.I.T. goalie is 8-2-1 in his last 11 decisions.
