Tulsa's Jerome Dyson Named NBA Development League Performer of the Week

NEW YORK, Jan. 31, 2011 - Jerome Dyson of the Tulsa 66ers was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played during the week of Jan. 24.
Dyson, a 6-3, 180-pound guard out of Connecticut who spent the 2010 NBA Summer League with the Cleveland Cavaliers, led the 66ers to a 2-1 record on the week, averaging 28.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals.
After scoring 21 points in Tulsa's 107-101 win at Springfield on Jan. 27, Dyson shot 6-of-9 from three-point range, scoring a game-high 37 points to go along with four rebounds, two assists and two steals in the 66ers' 118-98 victory over the Armor the next day. Dyson also scored a team-high 27 points in Tulsa's 109-106 loss to Maine on Sunday.
This week's honorable mention selections were Austin's Marcus Cousin, who averaged 18.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in four games; Bakersfield's Jeremy Wise, who averaged 24.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in two games; Dakota's Renaldo Major, who averaged 19.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.5 steals in two games; Erie's Tasmin Mitchell, who had 25 points, six rebounds and five assists in one game; Fort Wayne's Oliver Lafayette, who averaged 24.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.5 steals in two games; Idaho's Jermareo Davidson, who averaged 18.0 points and 10.5 rebounds in two games; Iowa's Marqus Blakely, who averaged 24.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.0 steals in two games; Maine's DeShawn Sims, who averaged 20.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 3.0 steals in three games; New Mexico's Dar Tucker, who averaged 19.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists in three games; Reno's Donald Sloan, who averaged 18.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 7.0 assists in three games; Rio Grande Valley's Jeff Adrien, who averaged 24.0 points, 14.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists, and Richard Roby, who averaged 25.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals, in two games; Tulsa's Cole Aldrich, who averaged 15.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists in three games; and Utah's Brandon Costner, who averaged 17.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in three games.
