Tulsa's Ben Gordon Named Oakley CHL Player of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (January 13, 2014) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Tulsa Oilers forward Ben Gordon has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending January 12, 2014. It marks the second time this season that Gordon has earned the weekly honor (Nov. 25).

Gordon helped his team to wins in three of their four games scoring four goals with four assists on the week. His big night came in Saturday's 7-2 triumph over the Brampton Beast where he netted a hat trick including the game winning goal. He started the week with a goal in the Oilers 3-0 win in Rapid City and then had two assist games in Friday's win over Brampton and Sunday's one-goal loss to Allen.
The International Falls, Minnesota native is fourth in the CHL in scoring this season with 49 points (21-28=49). He has been red hot in the past several weeks scoring 12 goals with 12 assists in 18 games since December 1.
