Tulsa 66ers News Release
TULSA, Okla., Dec. 6, 2006 - Tulsa (3-2) trailed by as many as 14 in the first half, but made a valiant comeback to top the visiting Austin Toros (0-6) 88-84 at Expo Square Pavilion Wednesday night.
"We showed a lot of heart tonight," said Tulsa head coach Joey Meyer. "We never gave up and hit some key buckets midway through the third quarter to give us back some confidence."
Tulsa guard Jean Felix scored 11 of his team-high 16 points in the second half, while Denham Brown netted nine of his 11 points in the fourth quarter to help the home team counter a dismal shooting performance the opening 24 minutes (14-of-35 for 38 percent). The 66ers shot 47 percent for the game, compared to Austin's 36 percent.
Joining Felix and Brown in double-digit scoring were Mike Hall, who finished with 15 points and 6 rebounds, Will Conroy finished with 12 points and eight assists, Mustafa Al-Sayyad with 11 points and Cheyne Gadson with 10 points.

A west coast swing is up next for the 66ers as they travel to California to take on the L.A. D-Fenders Friday night, the Bakersfield Jam on Saturday and the Anaheim Arsenal next Tuesday. The 66ers return to the Expo Square Pavilion on Saturday, December 16, to take on Kelenna Azubuike and the Fort Worth Flyers. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m.
