
Tulsa Revolution lose to Wichita, 8-4

Wichita took a four goal lead and never looked back as the B-52s defeated the Tulsa Revolution, 8-4, in Major Arena Soccer League action, Saturday night at the Cox Business Center.
The first quarter was a back and fourth battle and both teams used good ball control, but Wichita broke through the Tulsa defenders and scored on a goal by Travis Pittman with 2:23 left in the quarter. Less than a minute later, Wichita took a 2-0 lead with a shot from the left side of the penalty area by Kevin Jackson.
With 11:27 left in the second quarter, Wichita's Alex Moseley got control of a lose ball and scored an unassisted goal, then with 6:26 remaining, Brady Bryant gave the B-52s a 4-0 lead.
The Revolution finally got on the board when Nicholas McDonald scored off a crossing pass from Sam Guernsey with 1:09 remaining before halftime.
Tulsa got two quick goals in the third quarter from Mohammed Shaban and Guernsey, to cut Wichita's lead to one, 4-3, but the B-52s answered with Bryant's second goal of the game, before the end of the third quarter.
Less than three minutes into the fourth quarter, Matt Clare scored for Wichita, followed by a goal from Tico Rodriguez, and the B-52s led 7-3.
With 8:24 left in the fourth quarter, Tulsa's Lucas Almeida scored on a nice play from Michael Poneys, but Wichita sealed the win with a second goal from Clare with 6:45 left to play.
Tulsa will be home again this Saturday to host the Missouri Comets at 7:05 p.m. The Comets are a long-time indoor soccer franchise with much success over the years. Tickets are available at the Cox Business Center box office, or online at www.tulsarevolution.com.
