
Tulsa Acquires Anthony Wilkins, Waives Hill Due to Injury

TULSA, Okla., January 9 - The Tulsa 66ers have acquired guard Anthony Wilkins from the NBA Development League available player pool and waived guard Marcus Hill due to injury.
Wilkins was a 10th round (75th overall) selection by the Fort Worth Flyers in the 2005 D-League Draft. He played in 14 games (nine starts) for Fort Worth, averaging 21.9 minutes, 6.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists before being waived on January 4.
At 6-7, 220, Wilkins played collegiately at Kent State and participated in NBA training camp with the Atlanta Hawks in the fall of 2005. He played with Ockelbo in Sweden in 2004-05, averaging 8.2 points and 2.6 rebounds in five games.
Hill played in 15 games for the 66ers, averaging 11.9 minutes, 3.0 points and 1.8 rebounds. Wilkins is expected to be in uniform when Tulsa travels to Arkansas on Friday.
The Tulsa 66ers will be in Arkansas Friday, January 13. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m. The next scheduled game will be the D-League's Martin Luther King Showcase in Fayetteville, N.C., on Sunday, January 15, with a 1:00 p.m. tipoff and Monday, January 16, with a 4:00 p.m. tipoff.
