Tulsa 66ers to hold dance team auditions

TULSA, Okla., August 15 - The Tulsa 66ers will conduct auditions for the 2005-06 Dance Team Friday and Saturday, August 26-27 at Aspen Athletic Club.
The Dance team will participate in cheer and dance routines during the 23 home NBA Development League basketball games at Expo Square Pavilion. The final team will be composed of a dynamic group of dancers, cheerleaders, gymnasts and entertainers able to provide an exciting, high energy combination of entertainment and crowd encouraging presentations. The team will also participate in various community service events scheduled throughout the season.
Potential candidates must be at least 18 years of age and possess cheer and/or dance skills with the ability to communicate effectively. In addition to a physical and personal appearance evaluation, candidates will be judged on their ability to grasp choreographed dance routines, maintain a positive attitude as well as showmanship, personality and high energy.
Official registration will take place from 5-5:30 p.m. on Friday, August 26. To pre-register, log on to Tulsa66ers.com or call Megan Krause at (918) 585-8444 to obtain registration forms. Return forms along with a $20 non-refundable fee to: Tulsa 66ers Dance Team Auditions, 5550 S. Lewis, Suite 74105, Tulsa, OK 74105 by August 24. Candidates who choose to register on the day of auditions will be charged a $25 non-refundable fee.
The Tulsa 66ers will tip off the inaugural home opener with back-to-back games against the Albuquerque Thunderbirds Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18-19 beginning at 7:00 p.m. For ticket information, log on to Tulsa66ers.com or call the ticket office at (918) 585-8444.
