July 15, 2008 - Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki is expected to begin an injury-rehabilitation assignment with the Tulsa Drillers Tuesday night. Tulowitzki is recovering from a cut on his hand.
Tulowitzki could be in the Tulsa lineup as early as Tuesday night when the Drillers host the Springfield Cardinals. He is expected to remain with the Drillers through their current homestand and then travel with the team to Little Rock for its series with the Arkansas Travelers.
Tulowitzki played the 2006 season in Tulsa before joining the Rockies. Last season, he finished second in the voting for the National League Rookie of the Year Award while helping Colorado win its first National League Championship.
