BRIDGEPORT, CT - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, nearly sealed a comeback but waning time decision-making saw the Cleveland Charge take the game, 99-97, Tuesday night at Total Mortgage Arena.

Quinton Rose (returning rights) scored a game-high 27 points for the Knicks (0-2) and tied his career-high with five made three-pointers. He went 10-15 from the field while also adding five boards and four steals. DaQuan Jeffries (Two-Way Player) gave a 19-point, eight-rebound, and two-steal effort. Garrison Brooks finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

For Cleveland (2-1), Sharife Cooper and Sam Merrill scored 25 and 20 respective points. The duo dished five assists each. Didi Louzada had 13 points.

The Knicks' largest lead was capped at 17 points which came in the third quarter. Rose exploded for 14 points inside the frame going 4-5 from beyond the arc. The Knicks lead by ten heading into the fourth.

A 12-5 run by the Charge to start the fourth began to shift the tide, 87-84, with the Knicks leading by three. Another 5-2 spurt by Cleveland right after evened scoring with 6:28 remaining 89-up.

Westchester jumped out again and managed to maintain the lead until the 66 seconds were left, 97-up. Successful free-throw shooting for Cleveland and empty possessions for the Knicks told the tale and the Charge barely escaped.

Friday, January 6, the Knicks will face the Long Island Nets at 7 PM at Total Mortgage Arena.
