
Tryouts Kick off this Weekend at Colorado Rapids for Sueno MLS

Denver, Col. (Thursday, April 17, 2014) - The dream begins this weekend for more than 400 aspiring young soccer players as Sueño MLS 2014 - Presented by Allstate, the nationally-televised player search, kicks off with tryouts April 19-20 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO, hosted by the Colorado Rapids.
While pre-registration for the Colorado Rapids event is full, players are encouraged to sign up in person for the "walk-up" list starting Saturday, April 19 at 7 a.m. MT. The Rapids' scouting efforts will be led by the club's Senior Director of Rapids Youth Academy, Brian Crookham.
Friends and family of participating players, as well as the general public, are invited to watch the tryouts and enjoy the interactive fan zone presented by the event partners. Colorado Rapids star José Mari, as well as Univision Network's República Deportiva personalities Felix Fernandez and Alba Galindo, are scheduled to make special appearances.
In addition, Mexican goalkeeping legend Martin "El Pulpo" Zuñiga will host a free public goalkeeping clinic on Saturday, April 19, between 11 a.m. and noon, followed by an autograph session.
