Fort Collins, CO- The Colorado Ice will be conducting open tryouts for Icicle cheerleaders for the 2009 season on Sunday, November 23rd from 9am-1pm at Fort Collins Pulse located at 2555 S Shields St., Fort Collins CO.
Colorado Icicle cheerleaders are professional dancers that provide exciting and fun entertainment during all Colorado Ice home games. Icicle cheerleaders are also actively involved in the community, taking part in Ice appearances at community events, fundraisers, post-game parties, and other activities throughout Northern Colorado. "Being an Icicle takes hard work and dedication, but the rewards are incredible. It is an amazing feeling to cheer on the Colorado Ice players in front of thousands of fans. The Ice fan base is awesome and really supportive of their team," said Icicle Dance Captain and Head Choreographer Rehannon Pekny.
All interested dancers are welcome to try out. Prospective dancers must be at least 21 years of age by February 28th, 2009. Tryout fees are $25 the day of the tryout, and $20 for pre-registered participants. Pre-registered participants may pay with cash, check, or credit card; on the day of the tryout, only cash will be accepted. The Colorado Ice are proud members of the Indoor Football League (IFL). All home games are played at the Budweiser Events Center located in Loveland, Colorado. The 2009 season kicks off in March with specific game-day dates to be announced.
