Spokane Shock News Release

Former Shock DS Isaiah Trufant has signed with the Arena Football League's Kansas City Brigade.

Trufant is the fifth member of the 2006 Shock championship roster to sign with an AFL team and he is the third to sign with the Brigade. Trufant will join Charles Frederick, Ed Ta'amu and former Shock Head Coach Chris Siegfried who is now the Brigade's Offensive Coordinator.

Trufant signed with the Shock on June 20th and played in five regular season games and one playoff game. During the regular season, Trufant had 31.5 tackles, three interceptions and eight pass break-ups. His most memorable game came in the Conference Championship against the Arkansas Twisters where he recorded six tackles and seven pass break-ups, helping shut down the Twisters offense.

"It's always sad to see a player leave, but we are happy that Isaiah is moving on to the next level of football," General Manager Adam Nebeker said.

The 2007 Shock will take to the field on March 31st as they begin the defense of their ArenaCup Championship. Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 242-7462.
