Troy Passingham Signs with Bulldogs de Liege
August 10, 2020 - Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL)
Elmira Enforcers News Release
Goaltender Troy Passingham has signed with the Bulldogs de Liege. Passingham was the starting goalie for the past two seasons for the Enforcers and we wish him all the best in his endeavors in Europe.
When the Enforcers began forming two seasons ago, Troy was brought in to be the backstop to lead Elmira to the FHL Championship and he delivered in his first season helping the Enforcers make their way to the finals. Passingham also secured the first shutout in franchise history for Elmira. Troy leaves the FPHL for Europe toting a 3.08 Goals Against Average and a .924 save percentage.
When asked about the departure owner Robbie Nichols responded "We are sad to see Troy leave, but that is our goal here. To have players leave and move on to higher levels. We retain Troy's FPHL rights and if he ever decides to return he always has a home here in Elmira." Despite the absence of Passingham , Nichols remained optimistic "We feel very confident with our goalie situation here as Joe Young has re-signed after a great first season and we will be announcing another goalie very shortly."
The Enforcers expect news on their season to come soon and will be looking forward to welcoming fans back into the First Arena safely.
