Troy Bruins Continue Pro Tryout Camp Tonight & Sunday

September 18, 2010 - All American Hockey League (AAHL)
Troy Bruins News Release

Troy, OH - Professional hockey returned to the historic Hobart Arena on Friday night as the Troy Bruins opened up their 2010 AAHL Pro Tryout Camp in front of a good showing of Bruins faithful in the crowd.

The camp, which runs though Sunday, features two teams of players competing for their spot on the upcoming 2010-2011 Bruins roster, as well as eight goaltenders from across the world showing off their abilities for head coach Rick Szabo, a former professional goaltender himself.

The fans in attendance were treated to a quick tempo as the camp began, with the physicality escalating as the evening progressed. In a slightly different format than a typical hockey game, made necessary due to the number of goaltenders, Friday night's feature was played in four, twenty minute quarters, with each goalie having a period to prove themselves between the pipes.

The camp continues tonight (Saturday) at 7:30pm and concludes on Sunday at 7:00pm. Both nights are free and open to the public, while members of the Bruins staff will be on hand throughout to assist fans with ticketing and other questions in preparation for the upcoming 2010-2011 Troy Bruins season which opens inside the historic Hobart Arena on Saturday, October 30 at 8pm.

For more information on the camp, or the upcoming return of Professional Hockey to the northern Miami Valley, call the Bruins office at (937) 985-PUCK or visit www.TroyBruins.com.
