
Travs Take Series with 42 Hits in Three Games

Frisco, TX - The Arkansas Travelers pounded 10 runs on 14 hits in a 10-5 win over the Frisco RoughRiders on Friday night at Dr. Pepper Ballpark.
Arkansas produced 42 hits over the three-game series.
LF Caleb Adams led off the game with his third home run of the season and third Arkansas game-beginning home run (Adams 2, Sherman Johnson 1).
The Travs added three more in the first to jump on top 4-0 . Arkansas scored three runs in the first inning of game one of the series and Frisco scored four times in the first on Thursday.
After Frisco countered with two in the second, Arkansas padded its lead with one in the fourth, two in the fifth and three in the sixth.
Six Travs manufactured multi-hit nights, the most for Arkansas in one game this season.
RHP Alex Blackford (W, 5-4) worked five innings and allowed two runs on three hits with two walks and three strikeouts.
Adams, 2B Andrew Daniel, C Jose Briceno, 1B Alex Yarbrough, 3B Angel Rosa and CF Forrestt Allday each had two hits for Arkansas.
Adams finished with the home run, a triple, a walk and two RBIs.
Henry blasted his team-leading 13th home run of the season.
Briceno legged out a triple in the first, his seventh extra-base hit in four games.
RHP DJ Johnson tossed two perfect innings of relief with two strikeouts and RHP Austin Adams struck out the side in order in the ninth.
LHP Edward Paredes surrendered a three-run home run to 1B Ronald Guzman in the eighth.
Daniel, who finished 2-for-4 with three runs scored, has 18 hits over his last 35 at-bats.
With the win, Arkansas improved to 38-46 on the season and 6-8 in the second half. The Travelers will head to Midland to take on the RockHounds in a three-game series beginning Saturday night at Security Bank Ballpark. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
