Lehigh Valley, PA - The Philadelphia Flyers, parent club of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, have recalled defenseman Will O'Neill from the Phantoms.

A 29-year-old blueliner from Salem, Massachusetts, O'Neill is in the midst of his sixth professional season and has tallied one goal, two assists and three points in nine games this season. A veteran of 346 career AHL outings, he's compiled 35 goals, 157 assists and 192 total points in time with the Phantoms, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and St. John's IceCaps.

A seventh-round selection (#210 overall) by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, O'Neill signed a two-year, two-way contract with Philadelphia on July 1, 2016.

The Phantoms are back in action for a pair of games at PPL Center this weekend. First, on Friday, November 3, the rival Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins invade downtown Allentown for a 7:05 p.m. clash. Then, on Sunday, November 5, it's Pink in the Rink presented by the American Cancer Society when the Toronto Marlies visit PPL Center in a 5:05 p.m. clash. Sunday's game features a Pink Flashlight Giveaway FREE to the first 6,500 fans in attendance. A limited number of tickets remain for both games and can be purchased online .

The Phantoms are coming off an incredibly successful third campaign in the Lehigh Valley playing at the state-of-the-art PPL Center in which the team posted its highest win total (48) and highest standings point total (101) in more than a decade. Established in 1996, the Phantoms spent their first 13 seasons at the Spectrum in Philadelphia before re-locating to Glens Falls, New York in 2009 where the team spent the next five seasons as the Adirondack Phantoms. A new era of Phantoms hockey began in the fall of 2014 when the Lehigh Valley Phantoms began play at the state-of-the-art PPL Center. Through 21 incredibly successful campaigns, the Phantoms have qualified for the Calder Cup Playoffs 11 times and have captured two Calder Cup Championships (1998, 2005), two Conference Championships (1998, 2005), two Regular Season Titles (1996-97, 1997-98) and four Division Championships (1996-97, 1997-98, 1998-99, 2003-04).
