
Training camp starts today for the Ice Bats

(Austin, TX) - The Double-A Austin Ice Bats of the Central Hockey League begin training camp today for the 2007-2008 season.
"It'll be good to get everybody on the ice and start working towards the season and making the playoffs," said Coach Brent Hughes, "All the guys are here and they're anxious to get things started."
26 players report to camp today for the Ice Bats, but the roster will have to be trimmed to 19 for the team's season opener against the Texas Brahmas.
The Ice Bats are the AA affiliate of the Minnesota Wild (NHL) and the Houston Aeros (AHL). The team is getting ready to begin their 12th season in Austin.
