Vermont Frost Heaves News Release

South Burlington, VT - The Vermont Frost Heaves embark on a tough 3 game stretch in 5 days when they engage the Manchester Millrats in a rematch of last Sunday's game in Manchester with a 7:05 tip in Barre tomorrow night. After battling back from a 22-point deficit in the third quarter last Sunday but falling just short, the Frost Heaves are seeking revenge against their rivals from the South. The Northfield Savings Bank Community All Star will be Paul Zabriskie, the Weatherization Director of the Central Vermont Community Action Council, who will be attempting foul shots for the food shelf this Thursday night in Barre. Thursday's game will be web cast live at www.nsnsports.net. Steve Barone and Joe Salerno will bring you all the action from high above courtside in Barre.

After Thursday night's game, the Frost Heaves will face the Halifax Rainmen on Friday night in their home opener in Burlington at Memorial Auditorium. The Rainmen come to Burlington boasting an Atlantic Division best 3-1 record. The Rainmen suffered their first defeat at home last Sunday against the visiting Montreal Sasquatch 105-103. The audio portion of Friday's game will be broadcast live at www.nsnsports.net.

Fletcher Allen Health Care is sponsoring the Burlington home opener and the Northfield Savings Bank Community All Star will be Dr. Lewis First of the Vermont Children's Hospital. Dr. First will be trying to make as many free throws as he can at half time within 24 seconds on behalf of the Children's Hospital.

After this week's games, the Frost Heaves will travel to Rochester for their first encounter with the Razorsharks since the 2006/2007 season on a special Martin Luther King tip at 5:05 on Monday January 19. It will be especially tough; as the Razorsharks have won 48 consecutive games at home with last weekend's win against the Buffalo Stampede. The game can be watched live at www.atsportstv.com beginning at 5:00 p.m. EST.

Tickets for all Frost Heaves games are available at the Flynn Box Office in person, by calling 802-86-FLYNN or online at flynntix.org. Tickets for Barre games only are also available at Allen Lumber in Barre and First in Fitness in Montpelier. For more information go to vermontfrostheaves.com.
