Rome, GA - The Greensboro Grasshoppers won their third straight over the Rome Braves Friday evening by a final score of 3-2 before 2,708 fans. It was Rome's fourth consecutive loss.
Greensboro jumped on the board with two runs in the first inning thanks to a two run homer by Aaron Senne (8). They added another run in the third on an RBI groundout by James Wooster to make it a 3-0 game.
The Braves scored twice in the bottom of the inning on a two run double by Kyle Kubitza for the 3-2 score. Greensboro pitching shutdown the Braves offense the rest of the way to hold on for the win.
Scott Lyman (2-6) gets the win for Greensboro and Rome's A.J. Holland (2-8) is hit with the loss.
