The Torrington Titans (0-1) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-1 to the Worcester Bravehearts (1-0) on Wednesday.
The Worcester Bravehearts took the lead in the sixth inning on a passed ball.
The Torrington Titans couldn't get anything going as long as Aaron Civale was pitching. The Torrington Titans managed just one hit off of Civale, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his three innings of work.
Mike Gibbons was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed three runs.
