
Toros Lose Game in Chico

Chico, CA - The Tucson Toros lost a road game on Tuesday as they were defeated 5-2 by the Chico Outlaws, in game one of a three game series.
Lorenzo Barcelo, (3-1) took the loss for the Toros as he pitched seven innings on the night. Barcelo gave up five runs, on 11 hits and he struck out five Outlaw batters. Chris Luera threw a scoreless final inning for the Toros as he fanned two of the three batters he faced.
Shortstop, Ryan Priddy, was the offensive player of the game for the Toros as he went 2-4 at the plate. Priddy also scored one run and drove in two RBI as he hit his first homerun of the 2009 campaign.
Luis Apodaca and Lyndon Poole each chipped in with a pair of hits as Apodaca went 2-4 and Poole 2-5.
The two teams will play again tomorrow, at 7:05, in Chico before playing the final game of the series on Thursday.
