
Toros Drop Match at Home to 'Los Dos'

EDINBURG, Texas - Rio Grande Valley F.C (6-8-0) dropped their match at home against LA Galaxy ll (5-6-3) by one goal, 0-1. Preston Judd scored the lone goal of the contest for the LA side.
Los Dos tested early as they found a breakaway play which ended with Tyler Deric making a tackle outside the box on the challenge, ending the danger and awarding a free kick from just outside the top left corner of the box. The ensuing free kick was shot wide of goal and ended the danger, 0-0.
Preston Judd opened the scoring on the night at the 48-minute mark after reciving a through ball just outside the box where he dribbled and took a direct shot to the right of goal, past Deric to claim the lead, 0-1.
Dylan Borczak sent a sharp headed ball to the far-left side of the goal, which deflected off the post in the clearest chance at goal on the night for RGV FC. Borczak had entered the match in the 68th minute in place of Ricky Ruiz.
Borczak once again sent a ball straight to goal via header, this time saved by Eric Lopez on the diving try to keep the match 0-1 in favor of Galaxy ll at the 88th minute.
On the night Rio Grande shot 14 times, with only four on target. The possession game was heavily in favor of RGV as they maintained 61% of the pace. The back line allowed seven shots, two on target to Los Dos.
