
Toros Close Series With 5-3 Loss

Tucson, AZ - The Tucson Toros, (4-3) closed out a three game series with the Victoria Seals, (5-8), Sunday night with a 5-3 loss in front of 7256 Toro fans.
Cibney Bello, (4-1) got the start for the Toros and he went seven innings deep picking up his first loss of the 2009 campaign. Bello surrendered four runs, on seven hits and he fanned six Victoria batters.
Eduardo Baeza, (2-7) earned the win, out of the pen, for the Seals and Dane De La Rosa earned his first save of the season when he pitched the ninth.
The Toros had six hits in the game and both Ryan Priddy and Jim Rushford chipped in with a pair of base knocks each. Rushford went 2-4 with one RBI while Priddy went 2-3 with two RBI.
Junior Spivey got the only extra base hit for the home side as he went 1-4 with a double.
The Toros will take Monday off then resume GBL action on Tuesday as they host the North Division's top team, the Calgary Vipers, (11-4). The game is set to start at 7:00 pm, with Hi Corbett gates opening at 6:00 pm.
