
Toronto Rock Rookie Claims Honours

Toronto, Ontario â Wednesday April 3, 2002 â The Toronto Rock are pleased to announce that Blaine Manning has claimed the prestigious Rookie of the Month Award for the month of March. Manning scored nine goals, and added 18 assists (9g, 18a, 27 pts.) in the six games he played in March. Manning scooped 40 loose balls, and scored a game winner. The Toronto Rock was 3-3 for the month of March.
Manning was acquired earlier this season in a trade with the Calgary Roughnecks for Kaleb Toth. Manning was the second pick overall in the 2001 NLL Entry Draft.
On Friday April 5th, 2002 at the Air Canada Centre the Toronto Rock will host the first Semi-Final of the 2001-02 National Lacrosse League season.
