The first half was an even give and take between the two sides as Tormenta FC 2 and Asheville battled for control of possession and the first goal of the night. Just one corner from Asheville City separated the squads at the halftime break.
Asheville began picking up the pace in the second half with lots of action inside Tormenta FC's box. After a string of corner kicks, Asheville's pressing eventually gave way to the first goal of the night in the 64th minute.
