Tony Dungy to Speak at Faith and Family Night Friday, March 30

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Storm is pleased to announce that former Super Bowl Champion head coach, and spokesperson for All Pro Dad, Tony Dungy, will speak during Faith and Family Night Friday, March 30, announced team president Derrick Brooks. Dungy will join Brooks for a postgame address focusing on faith and family.

"It is an honor to have my former coach and mentor join us for Faith and Family Night," said Brooks. "I have the upmost respect for Coach Dungy. He is a man of integrity that honors his family and friends and has created a life of real significance and impact as he walks with the Lord."

Dungy was the first African American head coach in the National Football League to lead a team to a Super Bowl victory when his Indianapolis Colts defeated the Chicago Bears on February 4, 2007. He joined the Colts in 2002 after having helped turn around the culture of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the most successful coach in Buccaneers history.

Prior to becoming the head coach of the Buccaneers in 1996 he held assistant coaching positions with the University of Minnesota, Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Minnesota Vikings. Before becoming a coach, Dungy played three seasons in the NFL.

Dungy is also a New York Times bestselling author with two books hitting #1; Quiet Strength and Uncommon. He also has also been involved in a wide variety of charitable organizations, including the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Athletes in Action, Mentors for Life, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Clubs, the Prison Crusade Ministry, and All Pro Dad. He also works with Basket of Hope, the Black Coaches Association National Convention, Indiana Black Expo, the United Way of Central Indiana, and the American Diabetes Association.

He retired from coaching in 2008 and now serves as an analyst for NBC's Football Night in America . He and his wife, Lauren, are the parents of seven children.
