Tony Cingrani Returns to Mound for Bats Tonight

LHP Tony Cingrani (1-0, 0.00) makes his fourth start tonight for the Bats, his first since April 14 at Toledo when he tossed two scoreless innings with five strikeouts during his final tune-up before he was recalled by Cincinnati on April 18. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. at Louisville Slugger Field as the Bats take on the Pawtucket Red Sox. Tonight's game notes have been attached. Louisville is 3-0 in games Cingrani has started as he did not allow an earned run in 14.1 innings to start the season at Triple-A. He allowed just three hits in his three games with Louisville, only one of which left the infield. He struck out 26 batters and allowed just two walks. Cingrani owns a 0.35 WHIP and .067 batting average against in Triple-A. With the Reds, Cingrani went 2-0 in six starts with a 3.27 ERA and 41 strikeouts to just nine walks in 33.0 innings. The Reds were 4-2 in his starts. His last time out on May 17 at Philadelphia, Cingrani allowed three earned runs on five hits in five innings, but did not factor in the decision.
