Utah Blaze News Release
SALT LAKE CITY - The Arena Football League has announced that Tommy Grady's fourth quarter touchdown throw against the New Orleans VooDoo has been named the Spalding Highlight of the Week. The honor marks the third-straight week a Utah Blaze player has been recognized with a weekly award.
With just over 13 minutes remaining in the contest, Tommy Grady took a snap from under center and inadvertently fell to the ground. With quick thinking, the 6-7 quarterback was able to turn a busted play into a fantastic highlight. Grady got to his knees, located his favorite receiver, and fired a four-yard strike to Aaron Lesue for a touchdown. The score capped off a six-play, 37-yard drive and pulled Utah within four points of the lead.
Grady finished the game with 256 yards and seven touchdowns on 17 completions, adding 33 yards on two rushing attempts. In four games this season, he's scored 28 touchdowns. Grady has thrown for 1,208 yards with 25 touchdowns and rushed for 44 yards with three more scores.
