Philadelphia Soul News Release
PHILADELPHIA (April 5, 2012) - The Philadelphia Soul and area Hair Cuttery salons announce their involvement in a nationwide fight against drunk driving. The HERO Campaign for Designated Drivers seeks to end drunk driving tragedies nationwide by promoting the use of safe and sober designated drivers.
"We are very proud of our involvement with the HERO Campaign and excited about the effects it will have on reducing alcohol-related tragedies in Philadelphia," said Soul VP/COO John Adams. "These are the type of initiatives the Soul likes to be a part of, those that will improve our community and the safety of our loved ones."
As part of this partnership, the Hair Cuttery will be encouraging its clients in all 124 locations in the Philadelphia area to visit www.phillyhero.com to order their 46-Packs. Clients can use a special Hair Cuttery code when they place their order and the Soul and Hair Cuttery will each donate six dollars to the HERO Campaign for every 46-Pack sold with that code.
"We are honored to be in partnership with the Philadelphia Soul to support the HERO Campaign," said Dennis Ratner, founder and CEO of Hair Cuttery. "The prevention of drunk driving tragedies is a cause we should all get behind, because it could affect any of us at any time. I am proud that all 124 salons in the region will be taking an active part in this important initiative."
Named after Head Coach Doug Plank's hard-hitting and aggressive "46 Defense", the 46-Pack is a half-season ticket (four games) sold for $46.
In addition to the donations, every member of the 2012 Philadelphia Soul will be wearing a HERO Campaign ribbon on the back of their helmet for the duration of the season to show their support of the campaign and remind others to get involved.
