October 1, 2015 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Johnstown Tomahawks News Release
After going 3-1 at the North American Hockey League Showcase, the Johnstown Tomahawks hit the road for a pair of East Division contests. The Tomahawks take on the Aston Rebels Friday night, before visiting the New Jersey Titans Saturday night.
Friday's game will be the first regular season meeting between the Tomahawks and Rebels. The teams split their pre-season meetings, with the Rebels taking the first game in Aston and the Tomahawks taking the pre-season finale at Kirk Nevin Ice Arena in Greensburg.
The Rebels hold a 2-3-0 record in the East Division, four points behind the Tomahawks for second place. Aston went 1-3 at the showcase, with their lone win coming against Amarillo last Saturday.
Saturday night, the Tomahawks will look for revenge against the Titans, who gave the Tomahawks their first loss of the regular season back on Sept. 19. Cameron Smith and Anthony Parrucci each scored for the Tomahawks, while Garrett Hallford picked up a pair of goals for the Titans.
New Jersey leads the Tomahawks by two points in the East Division. The Titans have won five straight games after dropping their season opener to Aston.
Face-off for both games is set for 7 p.m., with live video available at www.fasthockey.com.
Following this weekend's games, the Tomahawks travel to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton next weekend. They open their 2015-16 home schedule Oct. 16 and 17 against New Jersey.
Season tickets and single game tickets for the 2015-16 season are now available. For more information, or to purchase tickets, visit www.johnstowntomahawks.com or call 814-536-GOAL (4625).
