Walleye Notes

- Past Week Performance: Toledo finished this past week with a perfect 4-0-0-0 record, collecting eight of a possible eight points. The week started with a close 2-1 win in Cincinnati. Goaltender Alec Richards turned aside 40 of the 41 shots he faced in the win. As good as Richards was on Wednesday, he may have been better on Friday in Wheeling. Richards made 42 saves in regulation and overtime and then stopped all four shooters in a 3-2 shootout win. Saturday night, Toledo opened with three goals in the first and downed Cincinnati 4-3 in front of a sell-out crowd at the Huntington Center. The Walleye finished the busy week with a 3-2 overtime win on Sunday as Kyle Rogers scored 4:18 into the extra session.

- Packing the House! Toledo continues to lead the ECHL in total attendance (155,675) and also in average attendance (5,991). Toledo had a sell-out crowd on Saturday - the sixth of the season. The Walleye have seen 27 total sell-outs in the first three years at the Huntington Center.

- A First! Toledo has won four games in a row for the first time this season. The Walleye have won back-to-back games at home for the first time since November 25 and 30. Toledo sports a record of 5-1-1 in the month of February and the Walleye are unbeaten in regulation in their last four road contests.

- Overtime Magic! Toledo won its second overtime game of the season on Sunday afternoon. Kyle Rogers took a perfect pass from Joey Martin to collect the game-winner. It was the 17th goal of the season for Toledo's leading scorer and that established a career-high in goals for the Captain.

- The Richy Wall! Goaltender Alec Richards has started all four games for Toledo since being reassigned to the Walleye from Rockford. Richards faced 136 shots (average of 34) in the four games and allowed just eight total goals in the four games.

- Gametime: The Walleye will play just two games this week and both will be in Greenville, SC. Toledo has struggled against the Road Warriors this season, losing all three games played. Greenville has defeated Toledo by scores of 4-1 (January 7), 4-2 (December 2), and 4-3 (November 3). Toledo is 10-11-2 this season in games played away from home and 3-7-0 against teams from the South Division.
