After a 4-3 shootout loss against the Kalamazoo Wings, the Gladiators still remain tops for the ECHL South Division with 65 points (27-12-7-4) on the season. The Gladiators prepare for a three game road trip this week. Gwinnett will take on division rival, the Greenville Road Warriors on Tuesday at the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville. The Gladiators will head North for the weekend to battle the Chicago Express and Kalamazoo Wings.

Greenville Road Warriors Preview:

The Greenville Road Warriors (29-12-1-2) are second in the South Division, just four points below the Gladiators. Gwinnett has played the Road Warriors 11 times this season and has posted a 5-5-1-0 record against them. In their last meeting at the Arena at Gwinnett Center, the Gladiators collected a 4-3 shootout victory. Forward Justin Bowers is tops for Greenville in scoring with 57 points (14 goals, 43 assists) on the season. He has posted 12 points (three goals, nine assists) against Gwinnett in their previous meetings.

Chicago Express:

The Gladiators defeated the Chicago Express 3-1 on Saturday and collected their 12 th consecutive home ice win. The Gladiators have only played the Express twice this season, and have beat them both times. In their last tilt, Scott Wietecha scored the lone goal for the Express. Forward Tyler Donati leads Chicago with 52 points, (13 goals, 39 assists). The Express is currently ranked second in the North Division of the ECHL with 52 points (22-19-6-2).

Kalamazoo Wings:

The Gladiators will face the Wings for the second time this season after falling to them last weekend in a 4-3 shootout loss. Kalamazoo is tops for the North Division, posting a 27-16-2-3 record on the season. Forward Nick Sirota collected a goal, an assist and the game-winner in the shootout for Kalamazoo in their last meeting with Gwinnett.

Thursday, February 9: Gwinnett Gladiators, 4, Florida Everblades, 3 - SOW

The Gwinnett Gladiators collected their 11th consecutive home victory after a 4-3 shootout win over the Florida Everblades Thursday night at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Defensemen Dallas Jackson and Paul Flache each picked up a goal and an assist in the win. Joey Haddad had the game winner shootout goal in the fourth round of the shoot out.

Saturday, February 11: Gwinnett Gladiators, 3, Chicago Express, 1 - W

Gwinnett Gladiators earned their 12th straight home ice victory after defeating the Chicago Express 3-1 at the Arena at Gwinnett Center on Saturday night. Forward Pat Galivan scored two of the three goals for the Gladiators in the win. Joey Haddad notched the third goal for Gwinnett late in the third period on an empty net.

Sunday, February 12: Gwinnett Gladiators, 3, Kalamazoo Wings, 4, - SOL

The Gwinnett Gladiators fell short to the Kalamazoo wings in a 4-3 shootout loss on Sunday afternoon at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Gladiator forwards Nikita Kashirsky and Pat Galivan each collected a goal and an assist on the game. Kashirsky extended his point-scoring streak to 13 games with his two points in the loss.

News & Notes:

A Streaker! Forward Nikita Kashirsky collected two points (one goal, one assist) for the Gladiators in a 4-3 shootout loss against the Kalamazoo Wings Sunday afternoon. With the points, Kashirsky extended his point-scoring streak for the Gladiators to 13 games to set a team season high for most consecutive games with at least one point. Kashirsky has recorded 15 points (five goals, 10 assists) in his current streak. The longest point scoring streak this season in the ECHL is 15 games held by Eric Lampe of the Las Vegas Wranglers.

Home Sweet Home: The Gladiators continue to use home ice to their advantage this season. Gwinnett set a team best for most consecutive wins on home ice. The Gladiators had their streak stopped at 12 consecutive home wins after a 4-3 shootout loss to the Kalamazoo Wings on Sunday. Gwinnett is now 19-5-0-3 on home ice this season. The 12 game home winning streak is the longest home winning streak in organizational history topping a nine game winning streak between January 14 th and February 17 th of 2006 and a nine game home winning streak while in Mobile from February 9 th through March 31 st of 2001.

Galley's Goals: Gladiators forward Pat Galivan notched his 20 th goal of the season for the Gladiators in a 4-3 shootout loss against the Kalamazoo Wings Sunday afternoon. Galivan collected three goals in his past two games, and surpassed the 50 mark in career goals as a Gwinnett Gladiator this past weekend. He is the 8th player to post 50 or more goals in a Gwinnett career joining Andy Brandt who notched 50 goals earlier this season in a Gladiator uniform.

Shoot Outs: The Gladiators are currently ranked fourth in the ECHL Eastern Conference in the shoot out. Gwinnett has participated in nine shoot out games in the 2011-12 season. On the shoot out, the team has won .556 % of the time, collecting five shootout victories. Forward Joey Haddad tallied two consecutive game winners in the shoot out with victories over the Greenville Road Warriors (2/4) and the Florida Everblades (2/9).

On the Power Play: In their last twelve games, the Gladiators have posted 13 man-advantage goals. With this improvement, Gwinnett has move up seven spots in the Eastern Conference for the ECHL on the power play to 12 th place. The Gladiators are 16.5 percent on the conversion. In the past five games, Gwinnett has collected at least one power play goal.

Upcoming Events:

Pink in the Rink Weekend (March 2-4) - Join the Gladiators for their annual cancer fundraising weekend. The ice at the Arena at Gwinnett Center will be died pink and there will be various fundraising opportunities around the arena (PINK Gladiator Merchandise, various raffles and a silent auction.

Friday, March 2: Pink the Rink Weekend and Friendly Friday - Adults can purchase a corner level ticket in Section 115 plus a hotdog and beverage for only $20. Kids can get a corner level ticket in Sections 115 and a kids meal for only $15.

Saturday, March 3: Pink in the Rink Weekend and Girls Gone Gladiators - This is great night for a "Girls Night Out" where all women can interact with 20+ vendors with business.

Sunday, March 4: Pink the Rink Weekend and Kroger Family Sunday - It will be the Gladiators fifth Kroger Family Sunday of the 2011-12 season. Fans can purchase four Premium/Corner Level tickets, Kroger Family Meal Deal and $5 merchandise coupon for only $50.
