Today's Postseason Scenarios At Reno
April 4, 2010 - NBA G League (G League)
Tulsa 66ers News Release
With Maine's loss last night, both Reno and Tulsa earned spots into the 2009-10 NBA Development League Playoffs, so all eight teams have clinched.
Both Reno (27-22) and Tulsa (27-22) hold the tie breakers against Utah, who finished 28-22 on the season (head-to-head)
Whomever wins Sunday's match up will be the 6 seed, with a loss comes the 8 seed
The top three seeds in the postseason will select whom they want to face in the first round of the playoffs, the two teams left then will face each other. Each round is a best-of-three series with the lower seed hosting game one.
Seeding is as follows (pending results from tonight's game):
Iowa
Rio Grande
Valley
Austin
Sioux Falls
Dakota
Tulsa/Reno
Utah
Reno/Tulsa
Once the selections are made, the 66ers will be able to announce who they will be playing in round one, as well as dates for Game 1 at home, Game 2 on the road, and Game 3 on the road (if necessary). Tulsa will also be announcing when and where tickets to the general public will go on-sale. The announcement will most likely be made on Monday, FYI.
