Today the Portland Chinnooks Make Their Move for a Championship

- Before the fireworks light up the night sky, the Portland Chinooks led by team owner and mega moving mogul Terry Emmert of Emmert International will once again have to take on their nemeses from across the river in the "Battle of the Bridges IV". A victory will garner Terry Emmert and his Portland Chinooks a return trip to the IBL Championship game when they host the Vancouver Volcanoes in the first round of the playoffs on Thursday afternoon.

It will mark the fourth meeting between the rivals. Vancouver beat Portland in the season opener at Clark College, 138-120 on April 27th. The Volcanoes came into the Chinooks' house and won again 121-112 on May 11th Portland snatched the third meeting at home, 139- 128 on May 24th.

This playoff match-up features contenders form the past two IBL championships. Vancouver won the prize in 2011, while Portland advanced to the title game last season before falling to Bellingham. "That defeat was a hard pill to swallow, my heart went out to all my players I saw the agony and disappointment on their faces , we all wanted that championship so bad, but I knew that it sparked a commitment and determination that has been the tone for this entire season" say owner Terry Emmert. The Portland Chinooks will make their move toward the championship today at 2:30 pm at the Eastmoreland Courts 3015 SE Berkeley Place, Portland, Oregon 97202

The man moving this team... Business Mogul, Team Owner, Philanthropist, LA Film Festival Participant, is there anything that Portland Oregon's businessman Terry Emmert hasn't done? Terry Emmert and his world renowned mega hauling company Emmert International have embarked on another monumental feat.

Emmert International received worldwide acclaim when they successfully transported the world's biggest rock star. The Rock a 340 ton boulder was moved from its quarry in Riverside County. The trip was 105 miles, 10 nights crossing through 22 cities to its present home at the (LACMA) Los Angeles County Museum of Arts. "The Rock" was the subject of a documentary titled the "Levitated Mass which was featured last month June 20th at the LA Film Festival. While Terry Emmert walked the red carpet his Portland Chinooks of the International Basketball League, defeated league rivals the Salem Sabres 110 -103.

The evening was filled with excitement as the news of his Chinooks victory assured Emmert's team of at least third place in the league standing , shortly afterwards Emmert learned that the documentary that featured Emmert International titled the "Levitated Mass received 4th place awards out of 200 entries. As if that wasn't enough, two days later Saturday (June 22nd) Emmert International moved a 50' wide cryostat (15 ton magnet) from Long Island, New York to begin its 5 week journey to Chicago Illinois.
