2004 Kelly Cup Playoffs Northern Division Semifinals (Best-of-Five Series)
Atlantic City Leads Series 1-0

No. 3 Peoria Rivermen (45-18-9) at No. 2 Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies (47-19-6) 7:05 ET

* Preston Mizzi scored the game-winning goal and had two points (1g-1a) in Atlantic City's 3-2 win against Peoria in Game 1 on Wednesday.
* Rivermen's Levente Szuper is 3-1-0 against the Bullies in 2003-04 after a 3-2 loss in Game 1.
* Atlantic City won the Kelly Cup in 2003 and advanced to the Northern Conference Finals in 2002.
* Peoria has made the postseason in each of its eight seasons and won the 2000 Kelly Cup.
* Atlantic City's Jon Cullen led the league with nine shorthand points (5g-4a).
* Tyler Rennette led Peoria with 31 goals and 68 points in 65 games.
* Atlantic City set team records for points (100), wins (47) and road wins (23).
* Peoria's Levente Szuper went 12-1-0 with three shutouts and a 2.00 GAA in his last 13 regular season games.

No. 4 Reading Royals (37-25-10) at No. 1 Wheeling Nailers (51-17-4) 7:30 ET

* Tyler MacKay made 30 saves and Steve Crampton scored the game-winning goal in Wheeling's 3-1 win against Reading in Game 1 on Thursday.
* Royals' Cody Rudkowsky is 1-1 and tied for fifth in the playoffs with a 2.00 goals against average.
* No. 5 Seed Reading upset No. 4 Seed Johnstown 2-1 in Wild Card Game on April 5.
* Wheeling returns to postseason for first time since 1997-98 and for the 10th time in its 16-year history.
* In its third season, Reading is making its first Kelly Cup Playoff appearance.
* Wheeling became fifth team in league history to win 50 games and set team records for points (106), wins (50), home wins (28) and road wins (22).
* Nailers had 59 points in 2002-03 and 47-point increase in 2003-04 is the third-largest single-season point increase in league history.

Columbia Leads Series 1-0

No. 4 South Carolina Stingrays (39-28-5) at No. 1 Columbia Inferno (44-20-8) 7:30 ET

* Tim Smith scored three points (1g-2a) and was +1 in Columbia's 4-1 win in Game 1.
* Dustin Johner scored the Stingrays only goal, a power-play goal, in the third period of Game 1.
* Inferno has advanced to the postseason in each of its three seasons and advanced to the 2003 Finals.
* Stingrays have qualified for the postseason in each of their 11 seasons, tying the ECHL record for playoff appearances.
* Columbia's Tim Smith led the ECHL in scoring with 92 points and in assists with 60.
* Ed Courtenay led South Carolina with 29 goals, 66 points, 15 power-play goals, and 31 power-play points.
* Columbia led the ECHL with 275 goals and 3.82 goals per game.

* Tom Buckley tallied his first career playoff hat trick in Florida's 6-3 win at Roanoke in Game 2 on Thursday.
* Express' Dan Carlson scored two goals, including a power-play goal, in Game 2.
* Tom Buckley scored the game-winning goal and Rob Zepp made 39 saves in Florida's 4-3 win at Roanoke in Game 1.
* Express' Carl Mallette scored three points (2g-1a) and was +1 against Florida in Game 1.
* Florida has qualified for the Kelly Cup Playoffs in each of its six seasons in the ECHL.
* Roanoke has qualified for the postseason in each of its 11 seasons, tying the ECHL record for playoff appearances.

No. 3 Gwinnett Gladiators (42-22-8) at No. 2 Mississippi Sea Wolves (45-20-7) 7:35 CT

* Chris Durno scored the game-winning goal in overtime as Gwinnett defeated Mississippi 2-1 in Game 1 on Wednesday.
* Anthony Battaglia scored Mississippi's goal and Greg Gardner made 38 saves in Game 1.
* Mississippi's Steffon Walby was second in the ECHL in scoring with 88 points (33g-55a) in 59 games.
* Gwinnett's Kevin Doell led ECHL rookies with 33 goals and seven game-winning goals.
* Mississippi's Jim Baxter tied for the league lead among defensemen with five game-winning goals.
* Gladiators' Brandon Dietrich was second in the ECHL with 60 assists.
* Mississippi is in the playoffs for third year in a row and won the 1999 Kelly Cup.
* Six different Gladiators scored 20 goals this season (Brown - 20, Durno - 20, Bennefield - 20, Slonina - 20, Aquino - 27 and Doell - 33).

No. 3 Idaho Steelheads (40-23-9) at No. 2 Las Vegas Wranglers (43-22-7) 7:05 PT

* Tom Nelson scored the game-winning goal and tallied two points (1g-1a) in Las Vegas' 4-2 win against Idaho in Game 1.
* Idaho's Jan Kopecky scored a power-play goal in the second period as Idaho went 1-for-2 on the power play in Game 1.
* Wranglers' Greg Day scored three points (1g-2a) and was +2 against Idaho in Game 1.
* Las Vegas was 4-1-0 at home and 5-3-2 overall against Idaho in 2003-04.

* Charles Linglet scored the overtime game-winning goal and had two points (2g-0a) in Alaska's 4-3 overtime win in Game 2 at San Diego on Wednesday.
* Alaska's Joe Talbot scored two goals to lead the Aces to a 4-2 win in Game 1 at San Diego on Tuesday.
* San Diego allowed four first-period goals and the Aces' Dan Murphy made 37 saves in Game 1.
* Aces' Charles Linglet has a game-winning goal and five points (2g-3a) in two playoff games.
* San Diego's Mark Pederson led the ECHL with 44 goals and 18 power-play goals.
* Alaska's Mark Smith was tied for second in the ECHL with five shorthand goals.
* San Diego's Trevor Koenig ranked second in the ECHL with 37 wins and third with a 2.17 GAA.
* Aces' Joe Talbot was tied for sixth among ECHL rookies with 56 points (24g-32a).
* San Diego became second first-year team in 16-year history of ECHL to win regular season points title.
