
TJ Fox commits to Union College

BENSENVILLE, ILâThe Chicago Steel of the United States Hockey League would like to announce the verbal commitment of forward TJ Fox to Union Co llege. Fox will begin his career as a Dutchmen in the fall of 2005.
Fox becomes the seventh Steel player to make his collegiate commit - ment this season, forty-sixth in franchise history. The Oswego, New York native is in his third season in the United States Hockey League. Fox, who started his career with the Green Bay Ga mblers, is leading the Steel in goals and points this season with 5 and 9, respectively. Four of Fox's five goals have come on special teams with three power play tally's and one shorthanded goal. For his career Fox's totals are impressive, in 101 games played he has scored 19 goals and is credited with 42 points and 106 PIMs.
Union College, located in beautiful Schenectady, New York, is just a short drive from TJ's home on Lake Ontario. Not only will TJ be playing competitive Division-1 ice hockey, but he will also have the opportunity to attend a premier university.
"TJ has most certainly paid the price in this league," remarks Steel Head Coach/General Manager Willard Nichol. "It's great to see a blue collar type of player be rewarded for his efforts. TJ is off to a great start for us and I look for him to have a career year. TJ will be an impact player next season at Union. It's a great fit for both parties involved."
