
Holmstrom selected to National Team Development Program

Sioux Falls, SD-- The Sioux Falls Stampede announced today that forward, Ben Holmstrom has been selected to play with the Under-18 U.S. National Team Development Program (NTDP) at the 2004 Four Nations Cup in Ann Arbor, Michigan November 7th-12th.
Team USA will compete against Finland, Sweden and Switzerland in a round-robin format with Bronze and Gold medal games taking place on November 12th.
A native of Colorado Springs, CO, Holmstrom played with the Under-18 NTDP this past summer where he competed in the Under-18 Junior World Cup in Slovakia and Czech Republic.
Holmstrom has played in 11 games with the Stampede this season, registering one goal. Last season Holmstrom tallied eight points (3g, 5a) in 54 games with the Herd.
Holmstrom and the Stampede are in Des Moines tonight taking on the Buccaneers. Game time is 7:35 PM. You can hear the game live on AM-1320 KELO starting at 7:15 PM with the Granite City Food & Brewery Pre-game show.
