The Maryland Black Bears and New Jersey Titans had a lot of waiting to do Friday evening when a power outage hit Piney Orchard Ice Arena. And after hours of waiting, the power returned and hockey was played in the late night hours. Puck drop for the game was pushed back from 6:30 PM ET to 9:30 PM ET. In the end, it was the Titans prevailing in the late night contest 5-0.

The Titans struck early in the opening minutes with a goal from forward Evan Werner. New Jersey forward Stephen Willey added a goal in the late stages of the first period to make it 2-0. The Titans erupted offensively in the second period with three goals from Blake Humphrey, Tyler Nasca, and Anthony Calafiore to make it 5-0, a score that would hold up as the final.

Maryland travels to Johnstown to take on the Tomahawks on Saturday, May 8th in its final road contest of the regular season. Puck drop will be at 7:00 PM ET at 1st Summit Arena at Cambria County War Memorial. The Black Bears will return home for its final two home games Thursday, May 13 and Friday, May 14 at Piney Orchard Ice Arena to take on the Northeast Generals. Puck drop for both games will be at 6:30 PM ET and all games can be streamed on HockeyTV.
