Trenton Titans News Release

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans, members of the ECHL and proud affiliate the National Hockey League's Philadelphia Flyers, have announced the signings of defenseman Derrick Pallis and left-winger David de Kastrozza.

Pallis (6-1/175/Shoots L), joined the Titans for the final nine games of the 2011-12 season after a stellar four-year run with Princeton University. The Medfield, MA, product played well and helped strengthen a depleted Titans' defensive corps. Though only registering an assist in those nine games, Pallis did show a scoring touch for the Tigers, getting 16 goals and 40 assists during his career

de Kastrozza (6-3/220/R), a New Jersey native from Tom's River, comes to Trenton after three seasons with fellow ECHL member South Carolina. Finishing his career with the University of Maine in 2010, de Kastrozza played the final three games of the 2009-10 ECHL regular season with the Stingrays and four more in their opening round playoff loss to Cincinnati that year as well. The following season he split time between SC (40 games) and the Hershey Bears (25 games) of the AHL. In his three seasons with the Stingrays, de Kastrozza played 94 games, scoring 55 points (29G, 26A). Last year he gathered a goal and an assist, 2 PIM and a plus-1 rating with SC in three meetings against Trenton.

The Trenton Titans returned in the 2011-12 hockey season after a five year hiatus and boasted a 26.1% increase over the previous year, the largest of any team in the 20-team ECHL.
