Titans Return to the Garden This Saturday, February 17 at 8pm

After drawing over 13,000 fans for the opener, the New York Titans will return to Madison Square Garden on Saturday, February 17th at 8 PM when they take on the Minnesota Swarm in National Lacrosse League action. On January 20, 2007, 13,127 fans attended the first ever lacrosse game played at Madison Square Garden when the New York Titans' inaugural season opened at home against the Chicago Shamrox. The Titans won that game 11-9.

"The crowd was electric, the atmosphere was amazing," said Titans Captain Casey Powell about the inaugural game at the Garden. "It was a great night. And the best part is we get to play there another three times this season."

The Titans are led by their Captain, Casey Powell, who leads the league in assists with 29 and is joined by forwards Ryan Boyle and Pat Maddalena. Maddalena is currently ranked 9th in the NLL in points with 34 on 17 goals and 17 assists. Boyle is not far behind with 31 points on 13 goals and 18 assists.

"Casey, Pat and Ryan are putting up some great numbers up and using their speed very well," said Titans Head Coach Adam Mueller. "Brendan Mundorf and Mike McLellan have been playing very well. Both are in their first season of playing regularly and have been very consistent and confident."

The Titans game against Minnesota at the Garden marks the first time Adam Mueller meets his former team. Mueller was the assistant coach for the Swarm when it first joined the league in 2005 and became Head Coach of the Swarm last season, when he led the club to an 8-8 record and to the playoffs for the first time in team history.

"Minnesota will be a good test for us this weekend," Muller said. "The Swarm's best attributes are their balanced scoring, tenacious defense and very good goal tending. I look forward to the challenge this weekend."

The Titans second game at the Garden is sure to be as thrilling as the first, with dedicated New York fans leading the charge. "It will be great to be back in the Garden and playing in front of our fans," added Mueller.
