Torrington Titans News Release
TORRINGTON, June 29, 2015- The Torrington Titans announced that the team has accepted the resignation of head coach Dan McNamara, effective Monday. Assistant coach Kyle Decker will assume responsibilities as the team's head coach on an interim basis. Sean Connole will continue to serve as the team's assistant coach. Â
McNamara came to the Titans after the 2013 season after playing at the professional level with various teams across the country.Â
McNamara led the team to a 28-25 record in his first season with the Titans. That team reached the Futures League semi-final round of the playoffs before losing a best-of-three playoff series to the Martha's Vineyard Sharks. The Titans were 9-8 this season before McNamara's departure. His career record stands at 37-33 (.529) in 70 games with the Titans.Â
The team will conduct a coaching search after the season concludes to place someone in the head coaching role for future seasons.Â
