Titans Announce 2013 Schedule

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA: The Indoor Football League (IFL) and the Cedar Rapids Titans announce the 2013 IFL season schedule today. The IFL's upcoming fifth season will begin regular season play Friday, February 15th and culminates with the 2013 United Bowl to be played in early July.
The Cedar Rapids Titans, who are coming off their successful inaugural season in which the team sold out four of its eight home games, will play seven of the 14-game schedule at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena as they begin their sophomore season. The Titans will also host a pre season game February 7th also at the Ice Arena giving fans eight opportunities to experience the exciting action of Titans football.
The opponent for the Titans home preseason game on February 7th will be announced at a later date. The Titans' regular season kicks off on Saturday, February 16, 2013 as they host conference rival Chicago. The Titans will then travel to Chicago the following week. The Titans will then host back-to-back home games on Friday, March 1st and Friday March 8th as they take on newly formed Texas Revolution and the Wyoming Cavalry, respectively. Three of the Titans first four games will be held at home at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.
Following a bye, the Titans will travel to take on the defending IFL champion Sioux Falls Storm before returning to host the Green Bay Blizzard on Saturday March 30th. Three of the Titans following four games will be on the road as they travel to Chicago, Wyoming and Green Bay while hosting Chicago on Saturday, April 20th.
Following the Titans second bye week the team will return to the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena to play host to the Sioux Falls Storm on Saturday, May 11th. After facing the Storm, the Titans will then go on the road the following two weeks as they travel to Green Bay and Texas.
The Titans will host the Green Bay Blizzard on Saturday, June 8th in the final regular season game of the 2013 season. For season ticket information visit Cedarrapidstitans.com

The Indoor Football League is a nationally recognized developmental league that has helped its players take their game to higher outdoor levels including the Canadian Football League and National Football League. Notable players that have moved up from the IFL to the NFL include WR Anthony Armstrong (Washington Redskins), LB Maurice Simpkins (St Louis Rams), DL Adrian Awasom (Minnesota Vikings), and Coe College alum RB Fred Jackson (Buffalo Bills).
