Titans announce 2010 Schedule

ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 3) -- The National Lacrosse League's newest franchise will be featured in the first game of the 2010 season, as the Orlando Titans play host to the Philadelphia Wings on Fri., Jan. 8 at Amway Arena.
Not only will it be first time a home team has played a regular season professional lacrosse game in the state of Florida, it is also the only game on the schedule for the first day of the NLL's opening weekend. Four additional games, beginning Sat., Jan. 9, are scheduled as the NLL opens its 24th season of championship play.
In all, the Titans will play eight home games at Amway Arena. All home contests are scheduled for Friday or Saturday nights.
"It's exciting that the entire lacrosse world will be focused on Orlando for the NLL season opener," Titans President Steve Donner said. "I am also extremely pleased with our entire home schedule. When we were doing our research on the Orlando market, the number one thing our fans told us is that they wanted home games on either Friday or Saturday night. I am pleased to announce that all of our home games will fall on those preferred days."
NLL Commissioner George Daniel echoed those sentiments. "We're pleased to offer a schedule where the vast majority of our games are on Friday and Saturday nights," Daniel said. "The league prides itself on a schedule that is fan friendly and we look forward to the debut of the NLL in Orlando, as we showcase the world's best lacrosse players in 2010." In all, 85 of the league's 88 regular season games will be played on a Friday or a Saturday.
Highlights of the Titans home schedule include a March 20th game against the Calgary Roughnecks. The game is a rematch of the NLL's 2009 title game when Calgary defeated the New York Titans, 12-10, in the Champions Cup Final. Other home games for the Titans include contests against Rochester (Jan. 29), Boston (Feb. 20), Philadelphia (Mar. 12), Toronto (Mar. 27), Washington (Apr. 10) and Buffalo (Apr. 16).

Orlando has a difficult road schedule, including a back-to-back situation where it plays in Denver on Feb. 5 and at Philadelphia on Feb. 6. The Titans have one other back-to-back on the schedule, traveling to Rochester on Mar. 13 the day after hosting Philadelphia.
Titans season tickets remain on sale and are priced from $99 to $250 for the eight-home game package. The team is also offering several introductory specials for their inaugural season, including a $69 lower bowl season ticket special (limited time only); as well as a VIP Inner Circle season ticket which includes an autographed Orlando Titans jersey for $325.
